i'm curious to see how microsoft implements 4g/lte for windows phone. microsoft's andy lees said the following: "The first LTE phones were big and big (users) of the battery, and I think it’s possible to do it in a way that is far more efficient, and that’s what we will be doing,”

well, this is why jobs held out against 4g/lte. battery technology simply isnt there yet when you're talking about the form factor that people crave - and for the rare users that do need 4g speeds on a reliable basis, aftermarket batteries are the only solution. on the flip side of the coin, the 4g infrastructure is nowhere near ready to go (despite vehement protestations to the contrary by the service providers), so i think that we're realistically just going to have to think of this technology as something that's really only going to be ready for primetime in 2013/2014 or so.

mobile HD streaming is close, but not here yet. and there's the war of licensing content that needs to be fought as well, and don't underestimate the ability of media companies to screw the pooch on that one.

the future is visible. i see a big cell phone bill.

i thought you had an iphone for some reason...

anyhow, my iphone 4 is okay. i'm becoming increasingly frustrated by the touchscreen though. i think taking it to taiwan (humidity) and sitting on the phone has somehow mucked up the matrix. perhaps the bonding between the screen and the capacitive part has degraded or something. sometimes it's unresponsive and other times it's just plain inaccurate.

I guess it's safe to say that given your criteria, you should NOT go out and buy an HTC Inspire 4G. Unless all you want is expandable storage. In which case, go nuts. (Yes, I hate my phone.)
